Hi, my name is Georgui Christov. I was born on 22.08.1982 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

I have graduated English Language Secondary School - "Thomas Jefferson", Sofia in 2001. I have studied Law at "New Bulgarian University" and at the same time "Economy of Transport" with profile:
"Air Transport" at the "University of National and World Economy" in Sofia, where I graduated my first Bachelor level of education.

In 2002 I decided to come to Germany in order to acquire the benefits of the German educational system. At the "University of Duisburg-Essen" I have graduated Bachelor of Science in "Computer Science and Communications Engineering".

My next endeavor was to apply for a business oriented Master program and thus to combine my engineering and economic Bachelor degrees. I was extremely pleased to find out that the "Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts" is offering an international program such as "European Master in Project Management". Shorty after I joined in the fall of 2007, I was astonished by the numerous advantages that course offers to students. Going beyond conventional learning methods, relevant for most universities of simply presenting and reproducing knowledge, EuroMPM takes you to the next level where focus is being set on the application of the knowledge base in various team assignments and projects during the studies. Thus the students develop skills and skills are what really counts for everyone's career. Moreover the work in multinational and most importantly multicultural environment prepares the students for the challenges of international projects after graduation. Very strong features of EuroMPM are the specializations, workshops and seminars conducted in and outside Germany and also with representatives of different companies and organizations. The program involves one in a series of case studies and team assignments where students apply methods and models currently used in a professional project environment. The tasks require presentations to the entire group, where students are asked to demonstrate their results. For me personally this is one of the most important characteristics of EuroMPM, as for every project manager the skill to present a project proposal, to persuade an investor or to report project results to relevant stakeholders are crucial for the final project success.

Until 2008 I used to work at "Nokia GmbH" - in Bochum as a Student supervisor in three projects (Nokia N71, N76, N81). There I was responsible for a software test team (12 members from Africa, Asia and Europe) and my main tasks included: task allocation, analyzing, summarizing and reporting team results. From 2008 till 2010 - I worked on projects in the Telecommunication sector (Wimax, WCDMA, LTE) at "Nokia Siemens Networks GmbH & Co. KG" - in Düsseldorf as a working student in Quality management. Among my tasks were: acquisition and analysis of project and product quality metrics; development of metric portfolios; reporting and analyzing quality status; conducting competence transfer in the areas of Progress and Quality measurement, Fault and Documentation management; conducting inspections of Quality and Project plans and Change-, Risk-, Fault- and Documentation management processes; assisting preparation of CMMI assessments; preparation of milestone reviews. I did my 3rd semester project and master thesis also at the company. Thanks to EuroMPM and the 3rd semester specialization in Quality Management at the "University of the Basque Country", Bilbao, Spain - I was able to meet my work challenges and to accomplish my everyday assignments, realizing that the knowledge and skills which were required for the positions I was holding, were 100% covered by the Master curriculum. Therefore I would like to strongly recommend EuroMPM to everyone who wishes to develop and excel into the areas of Project and Quality Management and appreciates the combination of learning and enjoyment.
